Supercritical fluid techniques can separate many additives and other polymeric components.
SFE/SFC techniques are versatile and their solvating power can be manipulated
through changes in pressure and by the addition of modifiers. Supercritical fluid
extractions are significantly faster than classical Soxhlet extractions
and require less heat and solvent.

- Extraction
of acrylic acid dimers, trimers, etc. from adhesive formulations and
extraction of low profile additives from cured thermoset composites.
- Extraction
and separation of antioxidants, plasticizers and low molecular weight
oligomers from thermoplastics.
- Characterization of polymeric isocyanates.
