Emissions
tests are conducted to document the amount of regulated material
released to the atmosphere by a process or facility, or to estimate the potential air emissions for engineering and equipment design
purposes. The emission sources may be stacks, ducts and/or vents
or from equipment leaks (fugitive). Emission testing may be
conducted on one or several sources at the same location to develop emission
factors that can then be applied to other identical sources.
Collectively, the Separations and Environmental Analysis (SEA)
Group has more than 100 years experience in sampling and analysis
of trace chemicals in the environment. The SEA Group has developed
a process and equipment called HOODSTACK®, that
have been used to develop emission factors at approximately
one-half the cost of field testing.
